In 1884, the Swiss pioneer Karl Elsener founded his knife forge in Ibach-Schwyz. A few years later, he laid the foundations for an impressive success story with the development of the "Original Swiss Army Knife". Today, the little red pocket knives are known worldwide like no other tool, and Swiss knives enjoy an excellent reputation thanks to the incredible precision of Victorinox. Klötzli Messerschmiede can look back on a long collaboration with Victorinox, and both companies were also founding members of the Swiss Cutlery Association 1891.
